The upward momentum has persisted. A Huaxin Securities research report indicates that LiPF₆ prices rose 13.0% in a single week, with further increases expected.

This wave of price increases, triggered by soaring demand in the energy storage sector, has quickly spread to other segments such as electrolytes and lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) cathode materials. This is ultimately driving a significant rise in the cost of LiFePO4 battery packs.

There is a strong possibility that the market will repeat the trend observed between 2020 and 2023, where LiFePO4 battery prices remained high for an extended period.
