Find answers to common questions

What is the recommended charge/discharge rate (C-rate)?

Recommended charging rate: 0.2-0.5C; recommended discharging rate: 0.5-1.0C (refer to the battery datasheet for further information).

Are LiFePO4 batteries safe from fire or explosion?

The LiFePO₄ cells have very stable characteristics, with the thermal runaway temperature around 800°C. Therefore, LiFePO₄ batteries are virtually immune to fire and explosion — even under extreme conditions, the cells would only emit smoke.

What Do I Do If My Battery Goes to Sleep?

When a battery enters sleep mode after being fully discharged, we highly recommend using a lifepo4 battery charger to wake it up, This charger  has a pulse wake-up mode that automatically charges your battery if it is in protection mode

When a battery enters sleep mode after being Idle status, you can wake it by charging or discharging, or by pressing the power switch button on the battery.

Can I use a 36V DC alternator charger with three 12V lithium batteries connected in series?

It is not recommended to use a 36V DC alternator charger with three 12V lithium batteries in series. While the voltage may match, charging batteries connected in series with a 36V charger can lead to imbalanced charging, potentially causing:

Uneven Charging: The charger cannot individually balance each 12V battery, which can result in one or more batteries being overcharged or undercharged, reducing their lifespan.

System Instability: Imbalanced batteries can cause performance issues and even damage the battery pack or the alternator charger.

Safety Concerns: Uneven charging increases the risk of overheating, which may compromise the safety of the battery system.

Can we replace a lead acid battery with your 12V lifepo4 battery in my vehicle for starting a car engine ?

No, our batteries are not cranking batteries, not meant to start up the car engine. Because the temperature inside the engine hood is too high.

But it’s OK for us to provide the heavy-duty truck starter batteries, because they are installed in well-ventilated and heat-dissipating locations.

Can the battery handle high start-up current rush for older machines and devices?

Yes, it does handle high peak current for 3-5s. Please check the specifications for each battery to check the high in-rush peak current supported.

Why does the voltage drop from 14.4v to 13.6v when i stop charging it?

The voltage drop you're seeing from 14.4V to 13.6V after stopping the charge is pretty normal for lifepo4 batteries; This is determined by the characteristics of lithium iron phosphate batteries.

13.6v is the static voltage of LiFePO4 cells. The battery at 13.6v is still 100% status. It is totally normal.

Does the charger come together with the battery?

No, you have to buy the charger separately.

How should I store the battery when not in use?

Store the battery at 50–60% charge in a cool, dry environment (15–30°C). Recharge every 3–6 months if stored for long periods to maintain health.

Are these UN38.3/MSDS/DG-certified package free of charge ?

For many standard LiFePO4 Battery hot-sellers, already with full certificates, Free of charge to our client.

For some customized models, please recheck with our sales.

How do you handle shipping for batteries (dangerous goods )?

For bulk orders, we arranged UN38.3, MSDS, Transport Report for each battery model, and DG-Certified package inspected OK by China custom house before each shipment.

Our LiFePO4 batteries adhere to international regulations (e.g., IATA DGR, IMDG, DOT, and ADR).

Our LiFePO4 batteries concluded UN3480 CLASS 9 IMDG CODE (Amdt. 41-22)

What is the lead time for sample and bulk orders?

Samples: usually 7–15 days

Bulk orders: 25–35 days depending on order quantity
All shipments are handled according to UN38.3 and DG-certified packaging standards for safe transportation.
